Date to be confirmed - Looking after your people in a crisis
When a crisis strikes, the public sector will have many people on the frontline. This event will explore how these employees and volunteers are being protected and supported before, during and after a major incident at home or abroad.
Have you ever considered what impact a major incident would have on your people? It’s inevitable, incidents will happen, and whilst your organisation will work hard to return to normal, what is the impact on those whose job it is to get you to ‘business as usual’? What about the people who have to respond to the incidents, what is the impact on their health and their safety? This event will not only inform and educate, it will debate and question existing response procedures. A number of specialists will come together to look at how organisations can prepare people for the worst, support them during a crisis and the aftermath of a serious incident.
Open to members and non-members of IOSH, those working in or with the public sector, anyone who is involved in crisis management including the voluntary sector, business sector, government bodies and emergency services. Further information and booking details will be available soon!
