The IOSH Health and Social Care Group is here to meet the professional development needs of over 1,800 members working in public and independent health and social care, including primary care, acute services, mental health, ambulance services, residential and home care, supported living, outreach care and other related services.
The Group provides a range of services to our members that include networking events, webinars, producing guidance and sharing good practice, representing our members on industry forums and keeping our members up to date with the latest news and developments.

The Health and Social Care Group committee works in partnership with key stakeholders, delivering networking seminars, regular communications, benchmarking and other continuing professional development initiatives.
Our objectives include:
- networking - increasing the number of networking opportunities for our members
- communication - developing and increasing the information available on our webpages
- more professional development initiatives for all levels of membership
- benchmarking projects - we aim to carry out one per year.
