About us

The IOSH Education Group represents and works with members across the whole sector to promote health and safety in all areas of education. We have Committee members who have expertise in all areas of learning. We are able to offer guidance to Early Years, Independent Schools, Boarding Schools, Local Authority and Academies, Colleges, Universities, Apprentice and Training providers.

We are looking at organising our next group conference for October 2019 at the Leicester Race Course and will be having a series of webinar’s to promote this event.

We also are part of the working party for the - National Safety and Health Conference (NSHC) Early-bird discount now available! Now in its’ 44th year the conference will be taking place on 13 June 2019 at Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield. The day will provide you with a range of new knowledge, skills and updates plus a variety of exhibitors to visit. For more information, please visit the online event page.

We have a new newsletter, with our latest December 2018 now available. We will continue working on our next newsletter. We are aiming to produce these about 3 or 4 times a year and will also provide an update for members via email prior to release. Please let us know if there are any areas of interest that you would like us to include or if you would like to contribute.

We have over 2,500 members and continue to grow. We have seen our overseas membership increase from 200 members to over 320. We particularly pleased to see we already have 54 members in the new membership category of Student Membership so a very warm welcome to all our new members.

We now have a new committee member who is our Communications/Social Media Co-ordinator who will be championing our social media.

We would like to wish all of members well for the new 2018/ 2019 academic year.
